This job requires a steady hand and quick reflexes, as well as a keen eye for detail and a willingness to work long hours in a watchtower. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable working with autonomous space drones, complex surveillance network protocols, and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Survey the skies for meteors and alert the public when meteor activity is detected
- Operate a surveillance network of space drones to locate meteorites
- Analyze meteorite data collected by space drones to identify potential impacts
- Develop protocols to scale and expand the meteor-watching network
- Educate the public on meteorite activity and potential risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Astronomy, Physics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience working in the space industry
- Ability to identify meteorite activity quickly and accurately
- Proficiency with astronomical instruments and technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
