As an Interspecies Adoption Counselor, you will provide support and guidance to humans, cyborgs, artificial intelligence beings, and aliens in the interstellar adoption market. You will be responsible for helping to connect adoptive families with appropriate 'children' based on their individual needs and preferences. As an Interspecies Adoption Counselor, you'll have the opportunity to assist individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds. A successful Interspecies Adoption Counselor will be knowledgable about interstellar adoption, law and policy, and skilled in building relationships that bridge multiple worlds.
- Develop individualized plans and objectives according to clients' preferences and needs
- Assist clients with the adoption process, from paperwork to post-adoption
- Provide emotional support to clients throughout the adoption process
- Spearhead efforts to match prospective adoptive families with 'children'
- Remain up to date with adoption law and policy in different worlds
- Experience in professional adoption counseling
- Degree in social science or psychology
- Knowledge of a range of interstellar adoption policies and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
