Engineer
As an Epigenetic Engineer at GenWatch, you will be on the front lines of cutting- edge epigenetic research and technological advancements. Your primary responsibilities will be to create and implement innovative strategies for altering genetic codes in order to optimise gene expression. You will work closely with researchers and technicians to help design, develop and execute numerous epigenetic experiments. You will have the opportunity to analyse data, develop new algorithms and approaches, and work on cutting- edge projects in an ever-changing technological world.
Responsibilities
- Design and set up various epigenetic experiments
- Analyse and interpret data from experiments
- Troubleshoot technical issues or concerns that arise during the process
- Assist in the development of research protocols and/or software programs to enhance the efficacy of epigenetic experiments
- Develop strategies for analysing and interpreting epigenetic data
Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. in Biology, Genetics or Biochemistry
- Experience with molecular sequencing, sequencing assembly, and bioinformatics analysis
- Proficient with the latest in epigenetic analysis methods and theories
- Highly knowledgeable and experienced with coding languages used in genetics experiments such as SAS, R and Python
