Are you ready to make a difference in the future? At Abacus Cyber-Security, we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a DNA Sequencing Forensic Analyst. As a Cyber- Forensic Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting detailed analyses of traced and located DNA particles, leading complex genetic sequencing and manipulation experiments, and manipulating advanced data-sets obtained from digital and genetic sources. This is a fast-paced and ever-changing job, so an attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet is a must!
Responsibilities
- Dissect and sequence DNA, RNA and other particles to identify persons of interest
- Manipulate and analyze nucleotide, protein, and other genetic specimen samples
- Develop automated systems to increase efficiency and accuracy of analyses
- Use model-based data-sets and directives to develop effective identification methods
- Execute and operate computer aided models of genomes and genomes related analysis software
- Analyse genetic data obtained from digital and physical sources to produce congruent results
- Maintain and update existing databases, reconstructing traceable pathways of genetic materials
Qualifications
- Advanced degree, in Genetics or a related field such as Molecular Biology
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Exception research and data analysis skills
- Experience in a corporate or laboratory environment
- Experience in digital forensics
- Experience in gene sequencing
- Ability to work under time pressure or unique situations
