We are looking for someone who is passionate about animals, virtual reality, and technology to join our cutting-edge augmented reality zoo. As an Augmented Reality Zookeeper, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining immersive augmented reality experiences for a variety of animals and creatures in the zoo. You will have the opportunity to create interactive experiences that help zoo visitors explore and appreciate animals’ behavior, physiology, and unique habitats. Your knowledge of virtual reality, 3D design, and animation will inform your creation of innovative and interactive animal experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design immersive augmented reality experiences for zoo animals
- Maintain and troubleshoot the technology and hardware used to create virtual environments
- Collaborate with other experts on the development of zoo animals’ habitats
- Conduct research on animal populations and behaviors to help inform the design and content of experiences
- Train zoo staff in the use of AR and VR tools
Qualifications
- Experience with VR/AR technologies and game engines
- Experience with 3D modeling, texturing, and animation
- Experience with 3D design software including Maya, Blender, or similar
- Understanding of animal behavior and physiology
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Javascript
